【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthreegradesofcarbon-manganese-siliconsteelplatesintendedprimarilyforserviceinweldedpressurevesselswhereimprovedlowtemperaturenotchtoughnessisimportant.1.2Themaximumthicknessofplatesislimitedonlybythecapacityofthecompositiontomeetthespecifiedmechanicalpropertyrequirements;however,currentpracticenormallylimitsthemaximumthicknessofplatesfurnishedunderthisspecificationto2in.[50mm].1.3GradesA,B,andCcomplysubstantiallywiththerequirementsofISOPressureVesselSteelsP9,P15,andP18,respectively.1.4Forplatesproducedfromcoilandfurnishedwithoutheattreatmentorwithstressrelievingonly,theadditionalrequirements,includingadditionaltestingrequirementsandthereportingofadditionaltestresults,ofSpecificationA20/A20Mapply.1.5Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
